Our gamer has extended his Civilization playthrough to… 10 real-time years, equivalent to the year 3991 AD in the game.
Because he couldn’t find a way to end his game, he went to Reddit to both share his story and try to find a way to end the `hell on earth` life of the world in the other game.
Let’s go to the world of Lycerius:
1. The world only has 3 `powerful powers` left.
2. The ice in the Arctic and Antarctica has melted more than 20 times because there have been so many nuclear wars.
3. The world no longer has any big cities.
The Engineer Unit (Engineer – the worker unit used by the player when entering the final stages of the game) is constantly busy building new roads so that the army can get to the front lines.
4. All countries have reached the highest limit of technology, no one has an advantage, so the game is extremely balanced.
And this is how this `eternal war` ends
There is a separate Reddit section to deal with this extremely painful but extremely interesting issue of Mr. Lycerius, called The Eternal War.
Someone has found a way to end this war in just 4 turns, but the website leading to this great solution has `404ed` it.
Here is another method, also considered one of the smartest ways to end the war:
This guy’s name is spyforce – the spy force has a method worthy of its name: Just build more units of spy soldiers.
Direct attacks are very disadvantageous, because cities can be very well defended thanks to the swampy terrain (also created by constant nuclear war and constant melting of polar ice caps).
After buying a city, you sell all the soldiers in it, and you have plenty of money again.
The whole world is united, and now is the time to transform the Earth into the green planet of the past.
