Land lots with symbols 3-5 (nearly 6,450 m2), 3-8 (more than 8,500 m2), 3-9 (more than 5,000 m2) and 3-12 (more than 10,000 m2) are located in An Khanh ward,
The form of land use is that the state allocates land with collection of use fees.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment will determine the starting price for auction.
Functional area 3 is located opposite District 1 across the Saigon River (between Thu Thiem bridges 1 and 2).
Thu Thiem new urban area is planned with 8 functional areas.
In early May, Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee also agreed to a plan to auction assets created with state budget capital for the value of land use rights, construction works on land, and other assets attached to land in Ho Chi Minh City.
These three plots of land have an area of nearly 46,000 m2, and have completed construction of 14 apartment blocks with 2,220 apartments and utility services.
According to estimates by the Investment and Construction Management Board of Thu Thiem New Urban Area, 55 plots of land remaining in Thu Thiem with a total area of more than 793,000 m2, if auctioned, will earn at least VND 22,000 billion.
Thu Thiem new urban area has been planned since 1996, with an area of 930 hectares, located on the East bank of the Saigon River, about 300 meters as the crow flies from the center of District 1.
Ho Chi Minh City affirmed that the implementation of the project is not aimed at real estate business.
However, the implementation of the urban area faced opposition from many people here because they believed that the project had many violations.
