Hyundai Thanh Cong has been selling the Grand i10 in Vietnam since the beginning of 2014, after 3 years the cumulative sales were over 50,000 units, 2016 alone was 22,258 cars.
Assembling the Grand i10 is Thanh Cong’s first step in its strategy of focusing on assembling and exporting cars to the ASEAN region, when import tax will be 0% in 2018. Thanh Cong is moving towards assembling 90% of its products.
The highest version of the interior is still leather and felt.
The basis for the car company with a factory in Ninh Binh to believe in a bright future is the Government’s determination to create an assembly-oriented auto industry, most recently the proposal to exempt special sales tax for the price.
Grand i10 is also the first product launched under the joint venture of Thanh Cong and Hyundai Korea.
