Taiwan TVBS reported that around 8:30 p.m. on August 23, Ly Tong Thuy (real name Ly Tong Huu), accompanied by a lawyer, went to the Procuracy in Taipei to surrender.

Before representatives of the authorities, Ly Tong Thuy denied the crime accused by the prosecution.
In another development, around the same time Ly Tong Thuy went to Taipei to surrender, in Taichung, Taiwan, a woman named Tran My Lan – an insurance employee – went to the police station to confess her actions.

According to Ly Tong Thuy’s confession, since being wanted until now, Ly has stayed in Tran My Lan’s house in Taichung for more than 20 days, not showing his face outside.

Ly said that on August 23, thanks to the help of his friends, he contacted his father, Ly Nhac Thuong, expressing his intention to turn himself in.
