Group of solutions to control personal vehicles: organize toll collection for cars entering the city center;
Support solution group: multi-center urban planning to stretch population density in the central area;
In particular, in the period 2021-2025, the city will prioritize bus development and focus resources on developing large-volume public passenger transport;
The period 2026-2030 will prioritize investment and solutions to develop mass public passenger transport and control personal vehicles.
The total cost of implementing the project is expected to be nearly 393,800 billion VND (including projects that are being implemented or have investment policies).
The project identifies the development of public passenger transport as a condition to limit private vehicles.
Also according to the project, it is necessary to control the demand for personal vehicle travel.
It is expected that the City People’s Committee will present the City People’s Council at the upcoming meeting (from July 9 to 11) to approve the policy on the project.
