Ho Chi Minh City’s proposal was agreed by many school leaders and parents because they believe that the health of students and society is most important in the context of the complicated development of the nCoV epidemic.
The principal of an elementary school in the suburbs of Ho Chi Minh City said that many schools have class sizes higher than the standard (45-50 students), not to mention not having enough facilities to teach two sessions.

Currently, 63 localities continue to give students a break to prevent the epidemic, of which 8 localities give an additional week off until February 23, 55 provinces and cities give students a break until the end of February. Previously, students had 7-16 days off for Tet.
