The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominations for the 72nd Golden Globes on December 11 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Los Angeles, USA.

In the film industry, the comedy film directed by Alejandro González – Birdman – won seven nominations, including the nomination for Outstanding Comedy/Musical Film.
There is a fierce confrontation between Birdman and Boyhood when directors Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and Richard Linklater were both nominated for Best Director and Best Screenwriter (Richard Linklater wrote the Boyhood script himself while Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and Armando Bo, Alexander
