23 Vietnamese players attend King’s Cup 2019
Goalkeepers: Dang Van Lam (Muangthong United), Tran Nguyen Manh (SLNA), Nguyen Van Toan (Hai Phong).
Defenders: Doan Van Hau, Do Duy Manh, Tran Dinh Trong (Hanoi), Que Ngoc Hai, Bui Tien Dung (Viettel), Huynh Tan Sinh (Quang Nam), Nguyen Phong Hong Duy, Vu Van Thanh (HAGL).
Midfielders: Pham Duc Huy, Do Hung Dung, Tran Van Kien (Hanoi), Luong Xuan Truong (Buriram United), Tran Minh Vuong, Nguyen Tuan Anh (HAGL), Nguyen Trong Hoang (Viettel).
Strikers: Nguyen Van Toan (HAGL), Nguyen Cong Phuong (Incheon United), Ha Duc Chinh (Da Nang), Nguyen Anh Duc (Binh Duong), Nguyen Quang Hai (Hanoi).
Due to gathering close to the match day and not having much time to practice or screen personnel, Coach Park Hang-seo called up most of the players who had worked with him before.
The notable absence is Bui Tien Dung, the goalkeeper who has been with Mr. Park in every past tournament since he came to Vietnam at the end of 2017. After joining Hanoi Club, he rarely played because
Nguyen Manh returned to the national team after nearly three years of absence.
Among the three goalkeepers summoned this time, Tran Nguyen Manh is a special name.
Nguyen Tuan Anh is also a significant return.
On the offensive front, there was a shortage of people, so Mr. Park persuaded Nguyen Anh Duc to return.
Dang Van Lam (Muangthong United) and midfielder Luong Xuan Truong (Buriam United) will stay in Thailand to wait for their teammates, while Cong Phuong (Incheon United) will fly directly from Korea and not return to Vietnam.
