The new version of Silk Weaving Bridge is part of a series of programs honoring `Resounding Cai Luong plays of the past`, jointly produced by Ho Chi Minh City Television, HTVC Cable Television Center and Tran Huu Trang Cai Luong Theater.
The play Beside the Silk Weaving Bridge by author The Chau and recreated by Meritorious Artist Ngoc Giau took place at the Ho Chi Minh City Theater last weekend, bringing together the cast: Trong Phuc, Thanh Ngan, Le Hong Tham, Cam Thu, Thanh Dien, Hoang
Sticking closely to the lyrics and singing in the old play by composer The Chau, director Ngoc Giau added a few details, as well as cut out a few old details to `blow` new breeze into the play through the passages.

Returning after a period of time away from the stage, artist Thanh Ngan shows that she is increasingly mature.
There were three scenes of Thanh Ngan’s performance that touched the audience: when Quynh Nga came to Tran Minh’s house in the dead of night;
These scenes have changed slightly compared to the old version.
Sharing later, Thanh Ngan said she really liked this scene, because the encounter between the young lady and the princess fully demonstrated the beautiful qualities of Vietnamese women: tolerance, hard work, common sense.
Artist Thanh Dien (right) plays the district governor, father of lady Quynh Nga.
The opera Beside the Silk Weaving Bridge has entered the subconscious of many audiences.
However, because they loved Tran Minh’s reformed play `Banana Loin` so much, many audiences were dissatisfied with a few flaws in the play, of which the biggest `grit` was in the actors’ costumes.

An artist participating in the play expressed that the play’s costumes were fully sponsored by a fashion designer and many actors were afraid that if they did not wear them, it would make the sponsor sad.
